Basic and Advanced Management Curriculum is available in 3 day formats. These courses focus on incident management teams and what it takes to prepare for and manage a SAR incident from first notice to demobilization .
These courses focus on those brand new to Search and Rescue and many jurisdictions use them as the basis for their SAR Academy training for new members. We focus on the National SAR System, what happens on a SAR mission, followed by practical exercises on how to search and operate safely in any environment.
The Lost Person Behavior curriculum stems from the International Search and Rescue Incident Database (ISRID) created by Dr. Robert Koester. These courses divide into 1, 2 or 3 day formats focusing on how the database works, Reflex Tasking and map exercises from real search incidents to practice those skills.
ERI will work with your training team to help develop a local training program using the same materials and programs used by ERI Instructors in our Search Management and Basic SAR Skills courses.
